Reunification Therapy
Reunification Therapy is a specialized form of family therapy designed to repair and strengthen the relationship between a parent and child when contact has been limited or strained — often following separation, divorce, or custody proceedings.
When ordered by the court, this intervention focuses on the best interests of the child. It helps all family members understand the dynamics at play, improve communication, reduce conflict, and gradually rebuild trust in a safe, structured way.
At Green Pastures Therapy, our licensed clinical therapists use evidence-based approaches, including elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and emotion-focused methods. We also offer the option of incorporating a faith-based perspective when it aligns with the family's values and the court order.

We require a copy of the court order before beginning services.

Sessions typically start with individual assessments for each parent and child(ren).

The process is tailored to the specific goals outlined in your court order.

We maintain clear professional boundaries and can provide progress updates to the court, attorneys, or Guardian ad Litem when legally required (with proper releases).

All parties are expected to participate cooperatively for the benefit of the child.

If any legal funds, grants, or court-awarded assistance are available to help cover the cost of services, it remains the responsibility of both parties to continue payment once those funds are exhausted.
